All About Voting

 

Your vote is important!  

 

Are you sure that you are registered to vote at the next election?

 

 

Have you moved to this area recently and not yet been registered on the electoral role at your new address?

Will you be unable to get to a polling station on election day?  For example...

  • Will you be at work?
  • Will you be on holiday?
  • Are you physically unable to attend a polling station?
  • Will you be too busy to visit the polling station on election day?

You can still exercise your democratic right to vote.  You can choose either to vote by POST or to appoint someone else - a PROXY - to vote on your behalf.

 

You can also register to vote from age 16, although you will not be able to vote until you are 18 years old.
